Exploring Mai Chau

Mai Chau's main attraction lies in the idyllic setting of a green valley surrounded by mountains and lush forests. Fertile rice paddies produce a harvest twice a year, which make this area unique. Mai Chau is an ideal place to get closer to nature and indigenous culture. Although most ethnic minorities in Mai Chau are no longer wearing traditional costumes in their daily lives, they still maintain their ancient culture in a way they build traditional stilt houses, the way they grow rice on the farm. The rice is flooded by streams and reeds, the way they farm fish in small ponds near their homes, all remain unchanged. With picturesque views and rich culture, Mai Chau creates a great destination to escape the bustling city, and live a relaxed and happy life amidst the beautiful natural scenery.
